The No-BS Inventory Specialist You Need

When I first started doing accounting, I discovered that many manufacturing businesses struggle to find someone who knows what they’re doing when it comes to inventory. That’s because inventory is a whole other world in accounting and bookkeeping. It’s not something that everyone gets — though few will admit it!

I’ve been hired by too many companies who have worked with…

  • A basic bookkeeper who assured you they could handle all your bookkeeping and accounting needs...only it turns out they couldn’t.

  • Someone who claims to be an advanced bookkeeper or specialized accountant...only it turns out they didn’t actually understand how to handle your inventory or your business at all.

  • A bigger firm that promised to get you back on track and handle ALL your accounting needs...only they kept sending a new staff member to work with you, and you were stuck explaining the same things over and over — and you still were left with a mess of mistakes!

And after all that, these companies are out thousands of dollars and still have a giant mess to deal with. Worst of all? The leaders of these companies don’t actually know what’s going on in their business. How can they, when the numbers on their reports aren’t accurate?

You need someone who can unravel the mess of your books.

That’s what I do.

I love puzzles, especially complicated inventory puzzles. It’s not impossible to sort it out, and it doesn’t have to be “just good enough”. We can get your books — and your business — back on track.

I came into accounting after running my own businesses. I’d discovered how important it was to have the right data, the right numbers, and the right information to make the right decisions as a business owner, so I sought accounting and bookkeeping classes to further my own understanding. That’s when I discovered how much I enjoyed manufacturing inventory management and accounting.

After continuing my education with additional accounting classes and learning software systems like SOS Inventory and QuickBooks, I began offering my services to clients. It didn’t take long for me to realize that most accountants and bookkeepers either didn’t like working with inventory — or didn’t know how.

I found myself cleaning up the messes that others had made — and I loved it!

Your inventory management and accounting is truly like a puzzle. It might not make sense to you, but it can be solved by the right person.

That’s me.

I’m Annie Blackwell, inventory management and accounting specialist. I’m a Texas native based in Houston, where I live with my son. When I’m not unraveling inventory mysteries, I’m probably enjoying really good food, hiking, or simply spending time with loved ones.
